The official replacement for the 1-Series Convertible is ready to take its wraps-off and it’s called 2-Series Convertible, prices start from £29,180.

  BMW 2-Series Convertible is the replacement for popular 1-Series Convertible and ready to take it’s wraps-off at the beginning of next year. It is expected that the prices will start from £29,180. It is the third model in the all-new 2-Series line-up. Previous models include 2-Series Coupe and 2-Series Active Tourer. Four especially updated BMW engines will be available at the start up, ranging from 220i petrol of 184bhp to 245bhp and a new 220d diesel of 190bhp.   For the first time ever BMW is introducing an M-performance version in 2-Series. The all new M235i will generate the power punch of 326bhp and massive torque. The entire series will also get an EfficiencyDynamics treatment that includes start-stop technology, fuel saving technology, brake energy regeneration, and BMW’s most demanding ECO PRO mode that directs the driver to get maximum from minimum engine efforts and boosts up the fuel economy through Pro-Active Drive Assistant.     All versions including the base lined 220i to flag-ship M235i are fully loaded with BMW technologies and will be available in Sport, Luxury and M Sport trims while only the 228i will be available in M Sport guise.   The interior of new 2-Series presents a mix blend of its predecessor 1-Series with some upgrade focusing more on driver layouts. It has an exclusive entry of iDrive controller with a 6.5” central display. Navigation system is definitely a new addition to any of the 2-Series models that receives data through built-in SIM card or wireless mobile networks. Like all other models in the 2-Series, this version also has Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming and USB interface. BMW Teleservices, Emergency call and DAB Audio is standard on the 2-Series Convertible. Although most options are standard on the new 2-Series but to distinguish the trims, BMW has used different designs of alloys and exterior accent colours.   It will likely to go on sale in February 2015 and will start from £29,180 for 220i Sport Convertible.
