The BMW 318i engine delivers 143 bhp and 140 lb-ft of torque at 4250 rpm. It has 0-62mph time of 9.1 seconds and a top speed of 130mph. This is more than adequate for a car of this type. BMW has enhanced the suspension following criticism from the previous cars ruthless ride, however the  ride is still too firm and many drivers will find it rough. The rear-wheel drive setup makes for great handling with the 318i feeling reactive, lithe and even-handed. BMW e46 318i engine is smooth and calm, with the cabin protected from external sounds, although the BMW 318 tds engine gives a little wind noise at high speeds. The M Sport suspension in this model is a real disappointment. It is way too firm and completely ruins the ride, however BMW do give you the option to replace it with the standard suspension at no extra cost. The 318i  has is a 1.8-litre petrol which delivers 143 bhp and 140 lb-ft of torque, propelling the BMW 318i engine to 62 mph in 9.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 130 mph. The 318i is smooth and quiet, with the cabin insulated from outside sounds, although there is a little wind noise at high speeds. The BMW 318i e30 engine handles fantastically and the car feels balanced and superb to drive. The BMW 318 ci engine benefits from outstanding residual values. It costs £26,045 and has a combined economy of 44.8 mpg and CO2 emission rate of 146 g/km. The BMW 318i engine benefits from BMW’s Efficient Dynamics technology, which gives BMW e46 318i engine excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions, making it an attractive option.
