BMW is looking forward to unleash the X2 Coupe-SUV

Tough Competition

  According to the automotive news outlets, BMW is looking forward to capture the SUV market in the UK over the period of three years. BMW has released the details of its new X2 Coupe SUV which has sportier and sleeker look with strong engines.   It will bring tough competition for its rivals such as Mercedes GLA-Class SUV. Although X2 shares some characteristics of X1, it will still offer front wheel drive and rear wheel drive. The X2 will also have four-wheel drive option.  

Engine Specifications

  It is expected that it will come up with petrol and diesel engine options. The X2 is less powerful but fast and efficient engine options. The 2.0-litre petrol engine with 192bhp whereas X2 diesel engines has multiple power outputs, the 2.0-litre diesel engines have power outputs of 150bhp, 188bhp, and 231bhp.   BMW has also developed plug-in hybrid option for its sportier and sleeker X2, the 2.0-litre petrol engine has electric motor attached with it. It has been found that BMW’s M division will develop X2 M version for its coupe-SUV which will have 3.0-litre turbocharged engine with 355bhp. It will bring competition for Range Rover Evoque SVR and Audi RS Q3.  

Shape and Design

  The X2 coupe-SUV will have wider front and flatter bonnet with kidney grill as standard. The leaked X2 coupe-SUV images indicate that it will have L-shaped tail-light cluster look from the rear however it will resemble with other Coupe-SUVs of BMW in general. BMW has integrated spotlamps with LED daytime running lights.

  BMW’s big plan for the future will boom the SUV market because the company is looking forward to amaze the SUV lovers in UK with the exclusive engine options, sleeker designs and sporty look. The X2 coupe-SUV will be followed by more models of SUV-coupe. BMW has released the little detail of its new X2 Coupe-SUV but complete details will be known once it touches the roads of the UK in 2017.
